And they were beautiful, well built rifles.
I held, and looked at one in .33 WCF a few years ago. Pure excellence.
I had one in .40-82 in the small collection from the guns my father picked up when he got out of the Navy in '47. Presumably these guns, including a model '66, where for him to "Fix Up" while he was in a gun shop biz with his brother. The only one he DID "Fix Up" was a Model 1917. FULL sporterization! Not an identifying mark on it. The only identifying thing on that gun is the safety position and basic shape of the safety. I still have that one.
