So everyone has been talking and using Duracoat. I have been using Backing Laquer and Gun coat for a long time. So I broke down and ordered some. Harbor frieght airbrush and I was ready to go. Here is my first try. I got The AR bug and the zombies keep coming so tell me what ya all think. Mossberg 500 sears model have hauled this thing for 30 years. It needed some loven so I reblued the hardware and the 3 barrels I have for it and Duracoated the frame and stock.

That is pretty handy work if you ask me. Looks good if that is what you are into. Either way, it is a nice job!

Thanks Guys, It took some playing with the paint to get it to spray just right. Now if I could get some good stencils it would be easier.

    Looks good.

If you are looking for stencils, there are many airbrush websites that have ready to use stencils. You can make your own by printing an image and then using a sharp razor blade to cut it out.

Thanks for the thumbs up guys, I made my own stenciles cutting them out was a pain. I got a guy working on some custom stenciles that will be much easier.

I guess I'm the odd ball.
Why would you do that to a gun?

Usually I'm not a big fan of painted guns, but man that is awesome! Almost makes me want to go out and get a polymer stock gun just to try something similar
