offset sights backwards for lefthanded shooting?

Hi all,
Anybody ever mount offset backup sights (like the Magpul offsets) backwards so they are offset onto the left side of the rifle for ease of use by left handed shooters? I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work, but I am wondering if there is anything I haven't thought of. They are just peep sights, so it should work, right?

I am a left handed shooter also. I guess mounting them backwards would work. I have never used offset sights. You are higher speed than me.

Some work better than others. I ended up going with Griffin Fail Safe Sights.

@titsonritz except that I read the same review that you quoted there, and it says that he tried it rigged up backwards and he never says if that worked or not...
