It's nuts. The whole tiny house/smaller homes trend is such a win on so many fronts for so many people. But the overlords haven't figured out how to regulate it or collect their money from it yet so many places seem to be very anti tiny home. I'm sorry you're going through all this. Try to stay strong!

As suggested above, I'd move in with friends, make that my residence address, and pay the taxes so the jerks at the county will leave you alone. Pay the taxes in April, and if you need to sell the property, do it.

If you need $ to pay the taxes, might try a gofundme account? Post your story - it should get some sympathetic donors.
