Used omnipage several years ago. Wasn't perfect but worked well. Probably better now. It probably also depends on exactly what you're doing with it.

I think it is like many things - you need to use it alot to understand how to maximize your ability.
The OCR spelling systems are workign better.
It is on version - what 19. So it has gone through alot of development.

If I am not mistaken - Didn;t Adobe buy it and take it over
