Open political discussion is a hard thing to moderate. I think NWFA is nicely focused the way it is. Politics (and religion) tends to get ugly fast.

There are other forums on the internet that tolerate political discussion some have civility rules (no name calling) others even allow very extreme name calling.

Search around and you will find them.

I do agree with you, adding "firearm" to the subsection would help avoid confusion. Great idea!

Good idea to relabel. It seems that many people misunderstand that this is pretty much a firearms only site, and those political and religious arguments get ugly very fast.

Imho a purely political section would be divisive. We need togetherness in the matter of firearms, but that's just my $.02.

As others said, there are plenty of places on the web to argue politics.

I like this being a firearms only site, and not having to worry too much about seeing a bunch of angry kneejerk posts about political stuff that doesn't affect our RKBA.
