The trust and corporation change is interesting. Doesn't sound like it eliminates them but requires people picking up the firearm from a dealer to pass a background check.

How many surplus military weapons are being used in crimes?

Neither of these are anything more than feel-good measures. They do present an opportunity for the smiling fools to grandstand and pound their chests.

"Also, the administration said it will deny requests to bring military-grade firearms back into the U.S. to private entities, with a few exceptions, such as for museums. Currently, when the U.S. provides military firearms to its allies, either as direct commercial sales or through the foreign military sales or military assistance programs, those firearms may not be imported back into the United States without U.S. government approval."

It sounds like only firearms that the US exported to allies, and are now making their way back. So in some respects; not much different than it's been in the last few years since the clown took office.

See I didn't understand the situation. I don't know how many of the rifles we come across day to day fit that description.

You gotta love stupid!! Obo and Crew believe these war relics wind up used by gangbangers!! They were "purchased" by "tax dollars" and because of that, they are public property and should be brought back home to the rightful owners!!

But government only knows how to do one thing, waste and more waste!

Say goodbye to the ten thousand or so M1 Garands and carbines waiting to be brought back from Korea. We will never see them now. I guarantee this EO is specifically about thoss rifles. The pres stopped their import once before last year when they were just about to be shipped back.

That. The ROK gov't has had a pending sale of M1 carbines and Garands to US distributors for about a year now.

If you were hoping for some of those M1 Garands and carbines the ROK wanted to sell back to us, you're SOL by presidential EO ..,.. And, here's some irony for you: Malcolm X had a M1 carbine for home defense. James Earl Jones has written about buying his M1911A1 and M1 carbine when he got out of the Army. Prof. Don Kates carried a M1 carbine when he was a young civil rights worker in the South, and was told he was under-gunned, because everybody else were carrying "...shotguns or battle rifles" : http://www.vice.com/read/the-former-civil-rights-activist-who-created-the-right-to-bear-arms

Not stupid, Domination. Turn off gun supply. Turn-off ammunition supply. Turn-off component supply. Turn the thumb-screws.

REEFER MADNESS!

That has to explain everything

On the same day that the Obama administration announced it will block the importation of decades-old military surplus rifles – punishing collectors and target shooters in the process – it will not challenge the new marijuana laws in Washington and Colorado.

Because while signing these stupid WH.gov petitions does nothing, so does doing nothing...

I've signed three of them in add'n to this one. All that happened is I got three platitude laden emails from the gov't basically saying "Thanks, but we're ignoring the petition and doing what we want anyway"

Impeachment: Going from talk to action
The Case for Removing Barack Obama from Office"

The U.S. Constitution allows citizens, acting through their legislative representatives, to remove even the highest officers of the U.S. government, by political means and without violence. Nowadays, the threat to the Constitution is palpably severe. The potent combination of elections and impeachment offer the people of the United States the means to deal with it. They can withdraw their confidence from civil officers who have betrayed and are betraying them. They can do so before their treacherous schemes ripen to the point of violent tyranny.

The superficial pundits of our day miss the political connection Alexander Hamilton shrewdly understood. They talk as if impeachment and removal depend on making humble supplication to some of the very people whose political and other fortunes are tied to the success of the offenses that warrant removal. But the biennial elections in 2014 will affect the composition of the next U.S. Congress (both House and Senate). With impeachment and removal as the battle cry of grass-roots mobilization in those elections, the people can exercise their sovereign power to order rather than supplicate. But they can only do so if they:

Demand that candidates for the national legislature solemnly swear and affirm that if elected, as their first priority when the new Congress convenes in 2015 they will initiate, vote for and carry out the impeachment and removal of all civil officers they find to be involved in or collaborating with the Obama faction's assault on America's liberty and Constitution;

Make clear that they will withhold their vote from any person or party that refuses to represent them in this regard;
And effectively organize themselves to do so, regardless of sham party labels or specious promises of other action.
Will you consider becoming part of the growing movement to translate impeachment talk into effective political action? Do you agree that Americans need a vote of no-confidence in Obama and all those (of any party) who are collaborating in his faction's attack on constitutional government and liberty in the United States? If so, read the call to action here and here. Then let your yes be yes, for the perpetuation of liberty and the U.S. Constitution.
