I agree completely with you but I do have to say that I do not think he have done the atmosphere any good. If we can reduce emissions in a reasonable manner and not completely wipe out an industry then I see no harm in that.

I absolutely agree. There is a Brit who is always whipping the climate hippies in open discussion and he says it very eloquently. If people are okay with the consequences of wind and solar power, then we should be using it. Sadly, they are killing close to 2,000,000 birds a year in the US. They alter the climate and consume tens of thousands of acres of open space to build their facilities.

We can make clean running diesel trucks, mine has nearly zero emissions. We can use natural gas to power over the road trucks and locomotives if we build infrastructure. We can use electric or hybrid cars for 90% of driving in metropolitan areas and they are getting better over time. If you are willing to pay the price, we can do a lot more.

My problem is that they are pushing their agenda with lies and disinformation and that makes them not credible. Jimmy Carter created the "Department of Energy" with the intended goal of making and keeping America energy independent and it has done neither. It is used as a socialist tool to destroy industry and ruin lives of ordinary citizens. They lied about the size of our nations oil, natural gas and coal reserves for decades and used that as an excuse for all of their failed policies. It was only when the Bakken was discovered and companies realized it was on PRIVATE LAND and could be exploited without hindrance from the federal government that they changed their tune.

This country should not be buying a quart of oil from anywhere else on earth. We should be using everything from solar to nuclear to power our nation.
