No disrespect intended to the OP at all but It's about time for a Second Amendment "gear check". Specifically, for others, if this is the first you've heard about this then you aren't paying close enough attention to what's going on nationally. Seriously.

The dying Obama Empire is trying it's best to F'over its perceived "enemies" as much as possible before the 20th of this month. It's going to be an interesting few weeks. Followed by an even more interesting four years.

Under the new proposal, anyone receiving Social Security Disability or other benefits who need help with their finances will be deemed to have a mental disorder.

This is simply false. The rule (which is not yet in effect) would require the SSA to tell the NCIS of anyone deemed mentally incompetent for medical reasons (and thus known as a "representative payee"). They are not mentally incompetent because they "need help" with their finances, they need help with their finances because they are mentally incompetent. Basically, any of these people would be denied a firearm purchase anyway because they would check box 11f on the 4473.

But hey, Obama sucks so who cares, right?
