I liked your article. But I ask could you have told the story without using the shooters names?

You need to find another source for the facts about "school shootings." That figure of 74 is a number from a bloomberg study, and reflects all shootings that happened on school properties.
Even if the shooting was the result of 25y/o gang-bangers taking each other out in the pre-dawn hours in a school parking lot over a drug deal gone bad.
which doesn't really qualify as a "school shooting."

That's just bloomie-spin to pad the numbers for his agenda.

I count 33 bogus "school shootings" this guy has dug up, and one has to wonder how many more are just bloomie-spin.

Also the accidental shootings where the little punk steals drugged out daddy punk's loaded 9mm that he leaves lying around.
How many times has a boy taken a gun to school for a little "show and not tell" and bad things happen?
This kind of thing although really bad too is a whole different problem and skews the numbers.

Is not using their names going to help or would it be better to not get so touchy feely as to why these scumbags act out? They seem to get a lot of sympathy and questions of bullying or bad home life are discussed. This gets the attention of would be outcasts out there more than names IMO. All stories should include what shame his taking the cowards way out was. Otherwise some of these fools look to these shooters as heroes.

My thought on the names goes like this: We use their names, they are notorious - if in death only. The next one comes along, feels outcast, unknown, bullied, laughed at, not included, what ever. Decides they would like to be famous, even if only in death.
