If it ever comes to a total SHTF scenario in the rural areas it will be individuals and small groups who band together for survival. The real battles will be raging in the big cities and God help us all if we cannot come together and work as a team...

Very true statement above, unfortunately we divide ourselves and it makes it easier to be conquered. We are shooting our own foot.

This is the exact reason why I stay the hell away from militias, most seem to be run by controlling nutbags. I still remember that NatGeo show (yes, I realize it's slanted) about militias... it seemed the largest militia had the fattest leader, who was about as combat effective as a log. In the mean time, his new recruits were trying to set up a tent, and failing at it, then the farbs attacked with airsoft guns.
