NYPD Officer kills man who attacked him with box-cutter:

I could not get this to load on my phone so could not read the article but sounds justified to me.

 

A razor can kill instantly

 

Opportunity, ability and intent to kill or seriously injure the officer.

From the story, it sounds like all the elements were there.

 

Bunch of jackwagons with box cutters took control of and brought down a bunch of planes about 13 years ago... I would say coming at a cop with a box cutter = lethal force response. Good on the NYPD cop.

 

Seems perfectly justified to me. I certainly would have defended myself with lethal force!

 

I got all over the coppers in the "Bad Cop" thread so let me be somewhat contrite . . .
