It's going to be interesting to see how NY handles this. A good guy with a gun (valid CHL holder) stops a knife weilding man in an Applebee's... which... while the man did have a CHL he ignored NY's laws by carrying in a gun free zone "sensitive place".

I know hochul has a big set of brass ones, but are they big enough to direct that the man be arrested and charged?? We'll see.

The knife wielding patron will get released soon and the prosecution of the CHL holder will drag on. Then Hocul will quietly pardon the CHL holder on the condition of a gag order. But she will get what she wanted: burden the CHL with court costs as punishment. And if discovered by the news, she can claim she reviewed the case and claim compassion.
