As an advocate of secure communication, security, and privacy, enabling SSL on NWFA has been a longtime goal of mine. The recent changes we've made, such as the software upgrade and the server migration, have made it possible to proceed. Our eventual goal is to force everything over SSL, but before we can do that, we need to make sure everything is working as it should be.
Those of you who don't know what this means, it means we'll be encrypting all communication between your computer and the NWFA servers, the same way your bank encrypts communication for online banking. You can read more about SSL here: https://www.digicert.com/ssl.htm
I encourage all of you, especially those experienced with SSL, to begin visiting through our secure address (https://www.northwestfirearms.com), and report any issues here. Don't forget to update your bookmarks!
