Seriously, it doesn't matter that you as a trustee/grantor of the trust pay using a personal check. There is no difference between me giving my money to the ATF using a personal check or me giving my money to the ATF using the money that I put into a checking account with a different name on it.
If it makes you feel better, then go ahead and spend your time setting up a trust checking account.
For me, I'll pass.
Same goes for sending in the ATF F 5330.20 — Certification of Compliance form. Most people think they need to include this when sending in the paperwork using a trust. No, you don't need it.
