I used to work across from that Hannah carwash factory and there would be a guy feeding those Nutria most every morningRight there in Milwaukee.
Tons of the suckers.
In town though so no shooting them, the baby seal route would probably freak people out though.
Up hwy 30 around Clatskanie and the waterways by the river used to have a bunch that we'd shoot.
A hunting licence is all you need.
Same for pigs and other pests.
They are good braised or in a crockpot chili. Stuff it into sausage, especially Andouille and make a gumbo with it.Be curious to see if anyone here has cooked up nutria before. My friends and I did it back in high school, we made jerky. Called it nurky.
I once watched an episode of 'Bizzare Foods with Andrew Zimmern' and he went on an air boat hunt in the deep south for them and assisted with a cajun style BBQ with them.Be curious to see if anyone here has cooked up nutria before.
I didn't do the shooting but I had nutria Jerky in high-school too. It wasn't bad. I'm sure braised would be good too.Be curious to see if anyone here has cooked up nutria before. My friends and I did it back in high school, we made jerky. Called it nurky.
