That's great... for those in "battleground" states. What about those of us who aren't?
I've been a life member of the NRA for decades, since well before Washington became a lost cause, and have given them I don't know how many thousands of dollars during that time. I'm sure that many people here have the same or a similar history with the NRA. What have our collective monies secured in the way of protection of our God given right to keep and bear arms in this state? Not much that I can see. In fact, I consider my investment in the NRA to be, without any doubt, the poorest investment I've ever made.

I too have been a life member for decades I am a Benefactor member these days. I support the fight for the swing states.
If we lose the battleground states, we lose the next supreme court nomination, we lose the senate, we lose the last effective block against Pelosi's socialist crap.
If we keep the the battleground states, if we keep the presidency and the senate, we'll get more conservative judges appointed to the circuits, we'll get another conservative on the Supreme Court, we keep the democrats from expanding the supreme court and clogging it with "Progressive" judges. And maybe we can start turning the tides in places like Washington via the courts.
The swing states are very important. They are worth fighting for, even from Washington.

I'll keep my donations going to the state and local level, just like what the billionaires are doing, until the NRA can show me they're capable of doing something other than fighting a running retreat.

Really? Winning national elections that influence proposed legislation and court appointees is wasted money?

We now have a historically ignorant and mis-educated populace. Primary election results are evidence of that. The deck is stacked against freedom, pleading fairness, equality and justice - although not one of the radical cannon fodder 'useful idiots' or the general populace can define any of those terms.

Thus, I suppose that any level of true education can help slow the march toward anarchy > tyranny.

That's not what I said.
I no longer have any confidence that the NRA is effective in performing that role. If I see the need for support of a "battleground" candidate, I will support them directly, not through a national organization that allocates money at it's sole discretion.

Then I commend you for being directly involved vs being unhappy that someone else didn't do it the way you wanted.

Fight the fight in the way you think is best, brother. We are all in this together
