Today, the North Dakota House of Representatives voted in favor of several pro-gun measures that will now be sent to the Senate for committee referral.

Unfortunately, anti-gun members of the Senate Judiciary Committee dismissed both NRA-backed House Bill 1116 and House Bill 1096 today by a 5 to 1 vote and 6 to 1 vote, respectively.

Missouri: State Supreme Court to Hear Case Against Missourians' Constitutional Right to Keep and Bear Arms
In August 2014, Missourians overwhelmingly voted to adopt Constitutional Amendment 5, an amendment that strengthened the Right to Keep and Bear Arms in The Show-Me State. All along the way, Michael Bloomberg continually funded multiple lawsuits by anti-gun St. Louis Chief of Police Sam Dotson and others.

Washington: Last Minute Committee Switch Following NRA Members' Calls
Yesterday, after your NRA-ILA posted a legislative alert for Washington members to contact the House Committee on General Government and Information Technology in opposition to House Bill 1857, the Committee was relieved of its consideration of the bill. HB 1857 has now been referred to the House Appropriations Committee where it could receive executive action as early as Wednesday, February 25.

While there are certainly problems on campus that need addressing, binge drinking among them, the obvious solution to make an unsafe environment safer is to give students a fighting chance to fend off attackers. That means allowing them to be armed.

West Virginia: Permitless Carry Legislation Passes Through Senate Committee Unanimously
Yesterday afternoon, Senate Bill 347 unanimously passed through the Senate Judiciary Committee with a committee substitute that made a technical change and eliminated language that was not critical to the constitutional carry effort.

Kansas: Permitless Carry Bill to be Heard Tomorrow on Senate Floor
Tomorrow afternoon, Senate Bill 45, NRA-backed permitless carry legislation, will be heard on the floor of the Kansas state Senate, with a vote expected on Thursday.

Wyoming: Legislation to Repeal "Gun Free Zones" Will Receive Hearing Tomorrow
As previously reported, House Bill 114, legislation that would eliminate specific "gun free zones" in Wyoming, has been referred to the Senate Education Committee where it will receive a hearing tomorrow, Wednesday, February 25, at 8:00 A.M. HB 114 is critical to protecting your Second Amendment rights, and would respect the right of law-abiding concealed carry permit holders to lawfully carry in any meeting of a government entity, any public K-12 school and on the campus of any public college or university.
