I always wondered about those, pistol braces. They look like stocks to me, but because there's a hole on them to put your hand in to grab the pistol grip, it's called a brace? I mean, if you can put them up to your shoulder?

One the other hand, what the hell is wrong with these people? Are there a lot of "Braces" involved in shootings? What's it going to be next? They want to ban the EVIL "Assault rifle". Next thing? Maybe? Black ARs will be illegal! Any color but black. Oh, hand guns too! After all, almost every damned gun that has shot someone has been black!

And while I'm on it. What the hell was Frankenstien, Finklestien, whatever her name is, talking about when she referred to that thing on the stock that goes up??

They just want to try and close as many loopholes as they can. Is a 50oz AR pistol even possible?

Just ignore it and carry on. This isn't 1994. Anything like this will be met with 99.9% non compliance ARs and rapidly AR pistols are becoming "America's rifle" and 15-20 rounds is the standard pistol magazine in everyone's bedside or even CCW pistol.

It is getting to the point in some states where you might as well build and SBR and drill the third hole.

If you're asking me you're asking the wrong person. :D I have no interest what so ever, (at this time), in rifle caliber pistola's. I think they're a little silly. I have hand guns, and rifles. I WILL fight as much as I can to stop the stupidity of these bans on things that keep eroding The Second Amendment.

Is it possible to get to 50 oz with a polymer upper and polymer lower, coupled with lightweight polymer or carbon fiber accoutrements, flutes barrels and open sights???

    Might be possible...

What’s so magic about 50 oz anyway? Am I missing something?

Just numbers pulled out of their butts. No rhyme nor reason. Isn't that what most of it is?

Yeah no. If this crap gets passed its time to ignore all the damn gun laws. You don't even need to drill the third hole. Bend a coat hanger, or a piece of hacksaw blade and drill a hole. Then use them to reboot DC. This crap has a good chance of getting Trumps support if Pelosi and Schumer cut a deal for the wall. "Give us the guns, get your wall"

I would not doubt the dems will agree to funds in trade for gun bans.

Best way to combat that is to have a discrimination case against it.
Braces were initially claimed to help disabled shooters that needed better leverage.. an outright ban on pistol braces, no matter the type is flat out discrimination and an “ablest” jab at those that cannot hold a firearm due to various disabilities or short comings.

If they want to fight dirty, the firearms community may as well use a few of the leftist alinsky tactics to combat the constant harassment against our rights.

At least make the anti gunners sweat a little.

I agree with the above! The only reason I have one is that I built it for a friend who had a severe stroke. He loves AR’s and that was a work around for him to be able to shoot again with a paralyzed left side.

I have (small) tears in both wrists, and AR braces are actually nice to use.

I use a cheek weld brace... helps with accuracy quite a bit! And is still short enough to clear house corners w/o risk of getting disarmed.
