I got an SGM Tactical SKS 75-round drum magazine at the Portland Gun Show over the weekend.
Lesson 1: Don't try to load it while wearing gloves.
Lesson 2: Releasing the tension accidentally is a *BAD* idea.
The follower snapped.
Alright, technically it was my bad, but it's still annoying. So I emailed SGM support. I figured they'd offer to sell me a new follower.
I explained the situation. Here was their reply:
Yeah, thanks, that's helpful.
Anyone know of anywhere I can get a replacement follower, since I'd rather not weld that part?

You could have someone tig weld the two parts if possible. That is why we have so many warnings about loading the drum.
