I found the wording of this headline disturbingly similar to common anti-gun rhetoric. This sounds like a rogue backhoe, rather it's operator, unearthed the remains.

Backhoe unearths human remains at Suncadia

CLE ELUM, Wash. -- Kittitas County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating human remains unearthed by a backhoe at the Suncadia resort near Cle Elum.

The backhoe was working on a water system near a golf course Monday when the remains were found buried about 2 feet deep, said undersheriff Clayton Myers.

It appears to be the body of a woman, he said.

Detectives are checking missing person cases, he said.
