We broke Scott's tractor!
I shouldn't have pressed the issue to try and pull out a stump from the sloped area. As Scott D. pulled and pried, both shafts of the hydraulic tilt mechanism bent out of shape. When trying opposite pressure to straighten them out, the right one broke! The front end was out of commission. Luckily, we were done with the front bucket work, and only had the tilling work left to do.

Nice work folks! We've raised $550 to help @Scotch_Enfield fix his tractor! That's only $350 short of the cost!
I have the cylinders at Papè with an estimate of $900 to repair both cylinders. I can manage the rest but anything helps. Thanks!
We're on a roll!

LAST CALL!
For donations to help @Scotch_Enfield repair his tractor!

We have until Thursday night to finish raising the $900 needed to fix Scotch's tractor. Then we wrap it up and mail the check.

Currently, we're at $550. NO WAIT.... My neighbor just donated $100! (that'd be George Gross, who was our landscape Gardner who help with the planting project).

Currently we're at $650. NO WAIT... Trash No Land just donated $100!

Currently, we're at 750!!!! Gee, that's only $150 away from hitting the $900 mark!

So, if you can help, please do so at:
Trash No Land General Fund (Make a note it's for Tractor Repair!)

Thanks All!

To quote a famous saying, "The check is in the mail!". (No, really it is! As soon as I get back from the Casino!).

Thanks to everyone who donated!

This was like a volunteer event where we all join together to make a big job easy for everyone, and accomplish a greater deed.

Well done folks!

Rained yesterday for a bit. As well as over the weekend.
Good. I'm planning a trip or two with the water tank later. I'll arrange to fill up at the station nearby.

I'm really pleased with the way this truck handled 275 gallons of water one weekend, and 200 gallons the next. No swaying and minor sloshing (because of the baffles I put in). The suspension seems to be real tight and it doesn't lean one side or the other when going around curves or stopping fast. I only feel it when I'm going uphill, otherwise, it's real stable. If I keep the capacity less than the 330 gallons, I'm okay so far.

Are the lanes open today need to test out some blackout loads
Yeah the lanes are open, but maybe they should be closed! There's too much disrespect going on there!

ODF visited the lanes and sent me these pics.

That plywood was brand new a month ago. So were the signs.

If we don't fix it, more and more destruction and trash will happen. Then we'll look just like the streets of Portland.

I'm too far away and too busy on weekends to do anything about it, so I gotta ask if someone else can.

I think people assume the city will clean up their trash or they only shoot once every three years so they don't care.

I haven't been there in a while because it's full even on weekdays now. Thanks for all the hard work.

Copy I don't understand most people why would you brake things that are not your???....and not cleaning up after yourself is so disrespectful...I clean up every time most of the time...end up picking up everyone else brass and stuff since I reload a bunch of calibers and no need for it to go to waste

I can't say I'm surprised. Go back to page one, you'll see my name there, I've been here since these lanes where created. I was in the planning committee with ODF.

I still want to fight for safer more fire resistant shooting areas for gun owners. Yet at the same time, I'm done hiding my feelings for those within our community that refuse to change.

We as gun owners need to be better, do better. The political landscape is not on our side and it would be so much easier just to shut down all shooting on public lands vs keeping it open.

Very sad!

The cleanup a month ago was my first event with the NWFA. I saw 30 people bust their bubblegum on that project, with a nice amount of LOOT donated. Honestly it never crossed my mind that it would just happen again. It's very sad and I will still volunteer any time for any projects.

I so want to get all over this, but I've got a bit of a family emergency going on right now plus a commitment to help a friend move across country. I too need somebody to step up and take a leading roll for the next month until my life is back to relative normal.

Randy responded that they will provide the materials if we provide the volunteers to do the repairs on signs at lanes 3 & 4. Also, we'll replace that top beam on lane 4 with one that has the lane name on it (I completely forgot to have it engraved when I replaced it last month!).

All the pieces will be pre-cut, and you should only need a cordless drill, phillips bit, drill bit to pre-drill the lag bolts on lane 4 beam and a socket set for the lag bolts. Any handyman can easily do this.
