No, 308 is bigger than your magwell...there are about 20 different calibers you can use though....

Look into 6.5 Grendal, close to 308 performance and many people making AR uppers for it.

Just google 6.5 Grendel and you will get all the info you want. Basically an upper might run you $800 and ammo is anywhere from $14 to $30 for a box of 20.

I had thought of going with a 6.5 Grendel upper but I don't shoot that much so I never got one. It is a good round though, better IMHO than the 6.8 SPC.

thy're expensive, and expensive to shoot. better alternative, if you want a bigger/heavier round, would be a 7.62x39 conversion. they're cheaper, more widely available, and ammo is cheap
