What about severability?

For example, if it's challenged on the grounds of violating the rights of 18-2yr olds...

Could the court invalidate only that part of the law while leaving the rest intact?

I do believe that was in the play book of these liberal bassturds including the Supreme Court.... get it on the ballot and those parts that are challenged and removed but keep the bass Bastone of it intact.:mad::mad:

You pay transfer fees.

What transfer fees? ;-)

The reality is this thing is just so fundamentally flawed and technically non-compliant, in multiple ways...signatures, multiple enactments, and so on and so forth, IMHO, any reasonable, legal-based opinion would be that this needs to be completely dismissed and proponents need to go back to the drawing board...

Makes it all the easier to ignore the law. The way to fight this is massive noncompliance among the peons. Fortunately, where firearms laws are concerned, that is pretty much a given. Bloomberg bought an expensive pig in a poke.

Everybody is saying what a great man Paul Allen was. His last thing before he died was to give the yes I-1639 campaign 1.25 million to pass this bill. He was the largest contributor. He did the same thing with I-594 also. So to me his legacy sucks becuse he help take my rights away with his dieing breath.

I am so happy I left Washington and I saw this coming miles away. I just want to say if any Washingtonians want to throw the towl in to the state of Washingtion which is only getting more and more libtarded by the week, I want to welcome people to Colorado. I am a native Oregonian (pretty much, lived there 90% of my life) and spent the last 6 years living in Puget Sound area. The radical liberalism brewing in the state of Washington is insane. Even, the once blood red conservative Spokane is becoming a libtarded enclave with many uber liberal SF/LA metro Californian transplants who don't want to pay the Seattle prices finding it to be the cheaper refuge to destroy. I was shocked to see even Spokane supported this fascist Nazi era gun legislation. Washington is just going off the deep-end and aspires to become the independent Maoist nation within the USA.

I would encourage people to move to Colorado and Oregon,as well. Although, I would encourage people to move to COlorado even more because there is still a fight to have in this state. Oregon is spiraling down and the ultra radical liberals/antifa types are pouring into Portland in huge numbers and will keep influencing that state's politics more and more. Colorado has a lot of the benefits of Washington without a lot of the crappiness. I will say the mountains and scenery in Washington are probably a bit nicer, but Colorado has so much gorgeous mountain scenery and outdoor recreation that would take many lifetimes to experience in full. The economy in Colorado is really good and there is a lot of tech jobs here and the wage to living cost ratio is many times better than Puget Sound if you are stuck living in the big city. There are also smaller more conservative cities like CO Springs and a large military community.

If anyone in Washington has the desire to come to COlorado and help us fight to protect our gun rights and even possilbly rescind the stupid "unenforced" magazine limit ban I would seriously encourage you. Your votes matter here in Colorado. I live in Jefferson County, Colorado and this county votes 50/50 on many issues and swings a bit conservative. My vote mattered here and I helped to get a pro-gun candiate possibly into our state house. Good luck in any county in the Puget Sound having your conservative votes influence a local candidate into your state congress or even US congress.

Colorado has a reputation for being very liberal , but it is way more balanced in politics than Washington or Oregon and your votes can actually make a change here. People i find are also more rational-minded and open to dialogue unilke Oregon and Washington where the liberals are insane and will treat you like you are their enemyo n the battlefield. For those who would feel homesick leaving Washington and miss mountains and outdoors, I wanted to pose COlorado as a great candidate for relocation. Conservatives in Washington can come take their tax dollars and skills and help make Colorado a great state. I just wanted to throw it out there.

Of course, people can just move to other nearby conservatives states like Idaho, Utah or Montana, Wyoming. But, they do not have the economy, jobs and urban amenities you will find in Colorado. Overall, Colorado is a very pro-gun state and Denver, although quite liberal, is not so liberal in the surrounding counties.

If anyone in Washington is interested in relocating to Colorado after this ordeal, please feel free to PM me and I will do all I can to help assist you in your relocation.

For those who want to keep on fighting, I greatly respect you and to those who didn't vote, well shame on you... What were you thinking?

Well, of course...throw as much fecal matter at the wall as possible, and see what sticks.

At the very worst, a judge could (should?) say 'Initiatives are single topic. Pick the ONE section you want to continue to argue-- age restrictions, training, background checks, storage, other...which ONE? The rest will be thrown out, and we'll hear arguments on that ONE, and one only.'

But that's of course presuming courts follow the law.

Dude! I am glad you are happy in Colorado. I agree with everything you say about Seattle and Portland. But your post sounds like you are getting paid by the state of Colorado to get people to move there. Our fight is not over yet. The court system will sort it all out. I got word that a law suite will be filed today.

RDB... I am just a disgruntled Oregonian who is literally living as a refugee.. I do miss my home state of Oregon and hope I can go back there one day.. However, I am also not going to deceive myself in thinking that Oregon will one day change and get better. I am only saying this because I know there is hope for COlorado and it has a lot of the benefits people desire in living in places like Oregon and Washington.

And, if anyone is paying me to get people to move to Colorado, it would be the Rocky Mountain Gun Owners association (Colorado's equivalent of OFF). Haha, and I am not even a member of that organization as of yet, but plan on joining and definitely being an active member of that association.

Like I said, I encourage you and others to fight the good fight for your rights, as when one state loses its freedom many other states will be at risk. Fascism spreads like cancer and fascists are not satisfied while there are still free and liberated people who challenge their radical dogmatism.

Anyhow, RDB, I encourage you and others to fight this unconstitutional legislation, but if you do get sick of it all and want to come to a state with great nature, outdoors, beauty, great economy and more reasonable living costs (than Washington, anyhow), then my offer to assist you in anyway I can to come to Colorado stands. Oh yes, Colorado has a great brewery and coffee scene , so for you Northwest beer and coffee lovers you will probably be quite happy with that too. My prayers will be for the people in Washington and it really is heartbreaking and sickening to me. I will always be a Cascadian in my heart and Cascadia is truly bruised and broken as of now.

Talk about Portland and Seattle... But what is different there?

Your major urban center is liberal all day long. You just elected a Dem governor... Both your state houses have Dem majorities...
You sent 4/7 Dems to Congress.

Your gun controls went through without opposition....

What makes you think that CO isn't on par with the coastal states?

As you say, there may be fights yet to have... But you have to have people and money to fight it. Go look at turn out in these midterms.

How many registered Republicans actually showed up?

Right now the only desire I have about Colorado is hunting giant Mule Deer.

The margins of Democrats winning were much less than in Oregon and Washington. ANd, there is no doubt that Colorado is a blue staet, but it really leans more purple in every county. That is why I am encouraging people to come to state where their votes make a difference. If everyone just packs up and goes to a super red state, we may find that there will be more and more states going super liberal. Believe it or not, if a large number of conservatives from states like Washington moved to Colorado this would literally swing this state red. Washington and Oregon are so far to the left by a huge margin that it would take an act of God for these states to ever see a conservative influence again.

Right now the only desire I have about Colorado is hunting giant Mule Deer.

We got huge elk here too.. Wow, i Just saw my first Rocky Mountain Bull Elk hanging by the side of the C-470 when I was driving back from Denver last week. THose suckers are big and they are in huge abundance. There is a large hunting culture in Colorado, even many random people I meet in Denver have grown up hunting their whole lives. The liberal influence in Denver is from the California and Northeast transplants. As I said, we got a lot of Texans and Midwesterners moving here who are throwing off the radical liberal influence compared to Washington and Oregon where most transplants are of the uber-liberal variety and mainly coming from Los Angeles and San Francisco metro areas.

Oh yeah, anyone who thinks Colorado's political map is super far to the left like OReogn and Washington hasn't bothered to do a lot of research of the actual numbers of the election results. Like I said if every conservative in Washington moved to Colorado it would be one of the most conservative state in the country and Colorado's gun rights would be secured.

OK Dude! We get that you REALLY, REALLY like Colorado. Stop with the sales pitches and start your own move to Colorado thread and stop hyjacking this one.

Please accept my apologies for hijacking this thread... I guess I don't think it is my place to start a thread on Northwest Firearms encouraging people to leave the Northwest.. I just tried to briefly to throw it out there and didn't even mean for the conversation to become as long as it was... That is why I just told people to PM me.. I will leave it at that.

Glad you found a place that suits you.
Regarding fascism, yes it spreads unless it's stopped. We're now seeing it occasionally ooze across Oregon's northern border when the new skin heads, proud boys and their ilk slink across and put on their "Heil" parades.

Fascism comes in many different flavors. By the end of the day, its all about some radical ideology that they will try to enforce on everyone else that infringes upon their personal liberties and freedoms. Whether it is new age-National Socialists/Nazis or new age-Maoists, they do have the ultimate goal of control and oppression for all who do no fit their ideologies.

I like Colorado a lot.. IT is far from perfect, but it is a nice feeling to know that your presence actually can make a difference. I thought when I left the Cascades I would just go nuts, since I spent my whole life living in the mountains. I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the Rockies and find it satisfies my needs. Living in Oregon and Washington I just felt I was fighting to keep my head above water and knew my tax money was going to pay for a government and state I could not support. I left ORegon a while ago, as it was just impossible to keep my small business alive with the taxes.

I sure miss the Oregon of the 90s.. People were way more rational and open-minded, it was cheap and affordable to live and there was virtually no traffic after the 5-6 rush hour. Portland was like a big overgrown town. Today it just feels like epicenter of the Alt-Left (if that is a term I can use)/Antifa movement and lot of the people part of these radical liberal groups are not even from Oregon.

Please. Spare us the left wing scare tactics.

If you cant see the difference between Proud Boys and Skinheads........ maybe you shouldn't be allowed to be armed.

Skinheads are openly racist and support REAL white nationalism... see no problem with Hitler's genocide... etc.

PB is openly multi-racial and accepting of homosexuals as well. Their ideas can be called nationalist and even a bit misogynist, but never once have I seen then espouse ANY sort of racism or separatism.

The only racism surrounding PB is when that label is intentionally used to mislead people

Yeah , I never heard of the Proud Boys being a racist group. Isn't one of leaders (or whatever you would call them) of their group an African-American man? I do know the liberals would consider any proud group of conservatives and militias as a racist group. The Proud Boys I figured were a good example of a pro-active conservative group taking a stand.

The National Socialists/Skinheads/White Nationalist groups on the other hand promote fascist ideology where your value is placed on your genetics and want to remove the Constitutional rights and liberties for anyone who doesn't adhere to their eugenic ideologies. I find White Supremacist/Neo-Nazi groups and Antifa/Socialist liberals to have more in common than not. In fact, Hitler's economic and gun control policies are pretty much on par with the Democrat party.

Gavin McInnes was the founder of the group. A white guy, a reformed liberal too I think. He was one of the founders of VICE News way back when.

Sure, there is a majority of white people in PB... but Ive also seen blacks, latinos, asians... gay, striaght... athiest, christian, Jewish and even muslims.

The message is straight nationalism. Which embraces all... with a conservative bent of course and that is why the media is so eager to demonize them. They dont want to see any NON-white conservatives finding a place... they want non-white conservatives to go away and shut up... pumping the 'white nationalist' line is always a safe bet for the left.

Make it unsafe for conservatives of color to 'come out' ... makes it a lot easier to control them as a voting bloc.
Just another social engineering effort brought to you by the media-entertainment complex.

Like with guns. Make guns scary and evil, make anti-gun activism cool... hey, all your favorite actors and singers hate guns, you should too! Then for those that dont buy it, well, we can just use voter manipulation and/or social media pressure on corps to deny young adults access to firearms... just a little bit easier to NOT get into guns.....

There are no accidents here.
