I just got a 1919a4 in 7.62x51 about a month ago. Picked up almost 1000 izzie links. From Gators guns in kelso. It's classified as "other". No 1639 crap. Took 10 minutes from the time I filled out paper work to walking out the door with it. Few other people grumbling because they had to wait for their tiny little ar15's! And yeah…… fun is an understatement!

It is not a problem. They are just expensive up front and even more expensive to feed. At one point I was going to do a 1919 in 8mm. At the time ammo was around $0.05/rd, yes $50/1000 (I was buying 7.62x39 for $70/1000 shipped at the time). I was just young and poor so could not afford the build.

I did have a JRW semi auto M-60 for a while. It was fun. I also had a Lakeside Razorback belt fed .22 upper for a while. Much more affordable but I rarely shot it.
