Nikon P-Tactical Spur Recommendations? For or Against.

Backstory: Sent a rifle scope to Nikon for repair. They evaluated and said scope was not repairable, but under warranty. Also, same scope no longer manufactured. So I have a "store credit." While shopping their website came across found product called P-Tactical Spur. Thinking about it for a couple different handgun applications, but totally unfamiliar with this model. Don't own any red dots. Have used several on other folks hand guns. Any one have a persuasive argument for or against. Have enough credit to replace scope and buy the Spur.
