I agree, I have heard tons of good things about both brands. I am trying to separate the opinions and conjecture with the "definitive fact" statement below.

I'll go on record and say that Schmit and Bender makes the finest rifle optics on the planet....but for a very steep price. Its probably overkill for most civilian shooters.
