Hey guys,

I've been doing some research on night sights for a few of my handguns.

I've read a lot about Trijicon, Ameriglo & Meprolight night sights. I've read a lot of good/bad comments...what do you guys think??? Which brand would you go with and why???

I am going to purchase in the next week or so, so I'll also need to find someone to install.

Thanks,

I have Tru-Dots on my Glock. I like that the rear site is smaller than some of the other night sights I've seen. They are plenty bright and don't get caught on my holster or clothing.

I have TRUGLO TFO sights on my G23 and love them! They are not only excellent at night with Tritium but also really help in the day because of the fiber optics.

If you are looking for Glock specific call Earl Nash (503) 333-9558 he will install any accessories you buy from him for free and is a nice guy.

I had Trijicons on both my Glocks and loved them. Bought them at Guncrafters for 89.00 and he put em on while I waited for free. I have Meprolights on my Kimber now and I really like them too.

I have Trijicons on one of my XD's, bought another XD and bought AmeriGlo
sights for that pistol. I don't know much about how they are made but the Trijicons seem brighter than the AmeriGlo.
If I were to do it again I would not choose AmeriGlo. They do work but not as bright.

I also have TFO's..on my glock 23. Like he said, with TFO's you get constant green all day all night for a good 10 years

I like Trijicon, I have one set that is five + years old and still glows as brite as the new ones I have on another pistol. I haven't tried other brands, found what I liked and stuck with them.

I like my Ashley Optical big dot express sights for fast acquisition. The company is now XS Sight Systems. I need to replace them now. I got them on a used Kimber Pro Carry back during the "assault" weapons ban. They are about 12 years old and about 1/2 bright. They still work but are clearly dimming.

I have Glock factory, Trijicon, and Novak, and XS.

+1 on the XS Big Dots... My favorite, Fastest aquisition imo.... The TFO's look nice, but I have no experience with them.
