Night sights

I'm planning on getting night sights for my Kahr K9. Do I just order them off the internet and take them to a gun shop to have them put on? Would it be better to order the sights from the same gun shop that puts them on?

Silly questions I'm sure, but all my other carry guns came with nights sights.

I gotta ask why would you or anybody for that matter choose night sites over a laser? I just cant see that in the heat of the moment anyone have the time to actually line your sights up. I find that a CT laser grip or laser guard be way more useful. With that being said my xd40 has night sights but they were already installed when I bought the gun.
