Cool article (I'm a stats guy). Here is something interesting. In 1999 PA sold 511,000 rifles and only 4,300 handguns. Rifles were more than any other state. Stats now 113,000 rifles and 382,000 handguns.

Few other telling stats:
1999 Total gun sales in Washington DC - 21 (currently about 1,000)
1999 Hawaii - 4, yes 4 (currently the numbers show zero, zip, nada)
There were more handguns sold in Cali in 1999 (372,000) than currently (325,000)

Great data mining, I'm likely headed back to a farmer's market in Cali this weekend and will use some to have meaningful dialog with the folks at another Bernie, Beto or Kamala booth. Politely of course.
