Next ar 300AAC or 6.8SPC

I'm at a loss in trying to figure out what anatomical features of the owner have to do with the caliber of the rifle. Must be a sexist thing.

I love my 6.8, its amazing what a 110 grain Sierra pro hunter will do to a deer's heart! I was in the same boat a few years back and I'm glad I went with the 6.8.

Big fan of the very specialist .300 whisper/AAC - only significantly appropriate with a light Ti screw on 30cal mini can and 16" barrel. Pointless without the can.

Then there is the 6.8 SPC... but what does it do better than a solid copper Barnes TSX 70 grain?

If I wanted in close-in brush forest hunting deer rifle, the .300 AAC

If I wanted something better at long range - open desert (over the 223/556). I would choose the 6.5 Grendel.

I agree on both counts

• The 300 AAC is effectively a 30-30 performance wise
  
• The 6.5 Grendel is ballistically a step up from the 6.8 SPC, especially at longer ranges where it has much more energy, better penetration, much less drop and wind drift.
