Finally some sense. I was waiting for the comments along the lines of... "She's probably illegal, so she deserves it!"

Whether she is illegal or not shouldn't come into play where her civil rights are concerned.

Having said that, ANYONE that believes that the-guilty-party-that-is-the-LAPD won't play the "we'll deport you if you don't agree/cooperate" is living in fantasy land.

So whether she is illegally here IS A FACTOR.
Does it suck? OF COURSE it does, but that doesn't change things.
It's just one you won't hear about unless she has the fortitude, and the ear of an honest press organization. (and a decent lawyer)

Sorry folks, but that's just the way it is.
I believe the LAPD, just like every other police entity, will use whatever they have to in a CYA situation like this one.
Including the deportation card.
