News aggregator sites - What are your favorite / Best ?

Yahoo etc.


Many like Yahoo, MSN, CNN annoy the crap out of me.

I would prefer a place to get accurate information, over being first - ie Not Twitter.
I don't want a site that forces you to log in, or disable your ad blockers etc

And, I know this is a unicorn, unbiased for the majority of their reports/selections.

When I go I see this: "CITIZEN FREE PRESS – THE NEW DRUDGE REPORT" - which makes me wonder. But I will give them a fair shot.



I want a place to get the news - important and hopefully accurate. Speed works against accuracy.
If a site has links to articles like which dress a Kardashian is wearing, then I wonder how seriously they take the reporting.
I understand there are many who Celebrities are their whole conversation.
Many places will link to UK based news papers. As an example of one that is used often, but I fills the page with gossip: The Sun
That may be good water cooler material, but is not what I am seeking. UK Home | Daily Mail Online is another.


My main read in a kind of aggregate but lets not rush way is

I find the default home screen too, juvenile.


For those not familiar with Reddit, Porn in a title is usually not the XXX /r/GunPorn for example is pictures of guns.

Try this as a starting point -- SFW - tho the name Porn shows up. Does your employer monitor their proxy?

Whatever you fancy. That's the beauty of reddit. Most of what I see in these reply are conservative "news outlets". I'm not a conservative or Republican so I can't recommend any of those. I would recommend r/GoldandBlack if you're into Anarcho-Capitalism.

Also I highly highly recommend you install Reddit Enhancement Suite if you have NSFW concerns.
