just ordered this from buds
Next it's the tax stamp and a Ti-rant...........and a whole lot of burnt powder. Anyone have experience with the R1's? It looked so good and I read enough good reviews to buy sight unseen.
I love mine! But I've got an aftermarket Storm Lake Threaded barrel.
Nice! I can't wait. I am feeling fickle trying to decide what can I want.....price doesn't matter to me since the 2-3 I'm interested in are practically the same. Guess I'll just have to ask around and go with the most positive reviews....right now the osprey is the one...30 min ago it was the Ti-rant
Storm Lake barrels are really good stuff. And they make barrels for Glocks, S&W M&P, and Springfield too:
I have a R1 Enhanced but without the threaded barrel. I like it much more that I like my Kimber. It is a sweet shooting gun.
I'm getting more and more excited!
I didn't mean for it to sound like a negative, but it does read that way. When I got mine Remington was doing a promotion. $75 back or a free Storm Lake Barrel. I felt the barrel was worth way more then the $75.
They are! $264 on the website right now.
I would fully agree that they are a good barrel. I've got one in my Glock 17 that shoots very well.
I'm a big fan of the R-1 enhanced. Such a sweet shooter. First two times I took it out to the local range's pistol clays match I won with it. I don't think you'll be disappointed in Remington on the R-1.
