Actually the slide length on p938 is longer, not smaller. The grip height is smaller. And really it's comparing a mouse gun of 140 for to a gun that has 245 fpe, which there is no comparison of course.But I would argue that the 938 is not smaller than the Bodyguard except for slide length.
...Everyone's carry needs and preferences are different, so I would argue that people should carry what works for them personally; size, caliber, recoil sensitivity; hand-strength, mag capacity, manual of arms, (e.g., striker, SAO, DA/SA, semi-auto pistol or revolver, etc.).
Nothing wrong imo with occasional carry like ttsx is talking about. I myself carry a 22mag mini revolver when I simply can't carry anything larger. But for primary edc I would not want a .380. I doubt it would go through the arm to reach vitals. And why carry a mouse gun when you can carry 9mm (or better). It's not logical to me except when you can't carry a primary edc.
I agree with your last paragraph. That's why I say for me it's inadequate due to the facts shown above.
