Feedback Request New Search System Trial

Overall improvement!

Mobile advanced search isn't working, which is how I do most of my searches.

Once that's live, I'd love to test more.

Do the images list to just those uploaded?
and not those where a link was provided?

I see 84 pages of images - most look to be pics which would have been used in the For Sale sections.

I search for user - me
term "mother ship" (no quotes" and it is not found. ) the words were mother starship

If I search for just mother it is returned.




One hack I use on the regular search, is to search Titles only. I dont' see that as an option.


And I don't see sort the results into Threads ( just posts) which is sometimes helpful with a broad topic which comes around.

Go to the actual Google page for search (not just your URL bar) and choose
Tools - get options for date range and sorting results by date)
Or Options - get to Advanced search.

Adding the Google term site can help too

The dash (minus) says skip that term

Of course, as you go down, Google will expand their search results to other websites.

I do not believe that Google is indexing T@vern.
I searched for "Jack Daniels Fishing Story"
which is the very first post in T@vern / Not Enough Goofy Humor

But it did find a post referencing Jack Daniels in Strange Things found in the woods.



Google will also get you individual results, not threads etc.
But it is a powerful option.


I don't have Bing-Fu, or DogPile, etc. If someone does, can you share those tips please.

Tiny, and run together, if you search, it seems to work, but those results also run together.

Just to update; this search works really well!! I actually use it without getting pissed off, and that's way ahead of the previous one. And by posting here it will move it to the top of my Watched Threads instead of being buried on page 3!!
