After almost sixteen years, the old soft-top let go in one corner - one of the two great shames of Porsche in their attempt to recover a failing market with a new 'cheap' roadster. At almost $60 here in UK, the fact that the early Boxsters had a plastic rear window, like a 1950s MG, but worse, was a big bone of contention. and a number of companies, Car Hood World among them, jumped on the bandwagon. They use premium US-made products only, and charge accordingly. Mind you, they fit it while you wait, if you have three hours to spare. So far they have done almost 700 Boxsters alone, but do everything from Audi to Volvo.

Here is the before - note almost invisible strip of aircraft-quality Duck Tape -

Here is what it looks like now -

The window is glass and heated, and is inseparably bonded into the premium quality mohair roof material and it's guaranteed for as long as you have the car, and then some.

More pics tomorrow, after it has stopped raining....

Good luck! Ive watched a lot of Top Gear(and now Grand Tour) and from what I've seen...most of the UK is very much like my hood in that it rarely stops raining.

Simply untrue - you are mistaking the UK for Ireland, which DOES have a lot of rain. Hence the alleged 'forty shades of green'. Here and now the sun is shining on a nice Spring day at about 55F. The rain was overnight, and has now gone from THIS part of the UK, at any rate.
