It would be tough for me to buy a Remington 870 again. My first one 30+ years ago is still awesome, the one I bought 2 years ago is junk.

Man, this is gonna be rough! Back when Remmy was King of all it surveyed, the 870 was the top of the game for pump action shotguns, there were none better. Somewhere along the line, they got cheap trying to play the cheap game with Savage and Mossberg, and they burned themselves doing it, I wouldn't touch a newer 870, the trigger guard and guts are all plastic, the stocks kinda fit, and are heavy for what they are, and he fit and finish just feels,..........cheap!

Give me a mid 90's 870 super magnum any day, or a 870 TC and i'm a happy camper!

Same with the 1100/1187 series, I wouldn't want any of the new ones!
