Agreed. But for a plinker I'd try one. I'm by no means a KT fan either but for the intended purpose it might be fun.
Just a heads up before you do; don't expect much in the way of ergonomics. The metal tube of a "stock" doesn't make it comfortable to get your face down where you can see the sights, takes some getting use to. My friend tried mine a while back, and threw it down in disgust without firing a shot, proclaiming it "unusable". To be honest, he wasn't really trying very hard, because he had just watched me repeatedly ring the 100 yard gong with it. It's not for everyone.

This was exactly my thought when I picked it up. Not really a Kel-Tec fan but, I have all that I need in other departments and figured this would be fun for my son and I to plink with. Plus, I drive up in the hills a lot and figured it would be great behind the seat of the Jeep.

Hell I have a TX-22 in my safe. Do I like Taurus? Absolutely not. Would I trust my life to it? Absolutely not. Is it fun to shoot? Absolutely. :)

Don't get me wrong. If I find out someone is EDCing a Taurus or a KT or a HP I'm gonna be merciless. It's for their own good.

But that TX-22....I have the Comp version with a Burris FF3 and it puts a smile on my face every time I use it. :)

Have you gotten the mag extensions for it yet? Way too much fun.

I got the S2k G/3 sighted in yesterday. I used my range finder to set my target at 10 and 20 yards. The target with the circle is my group @20yds. I didn't get a chance to move over to the rifle range and test it at the 50yd range. I'll try and do that on my next range run.

I put 100 rounds down the pipe without any issues. It is definitely a keeper and going to be lots of fun! I didn't have my son, who was sorely disappointed I sighted it without him, but promised him he has the next 100rds to himself. 🤣

Pretty happy with my P17, never thought I'd cave in but it's a hell of a gun.
I've been eying those but already have one of those 33round keltec's in 22lr. Let us know how you like it, I have a Taurus TX22 and still want one of the P17's. Maybe find one at Rickreal this weekend.

The P17 is a cool, fun gun. I've got a few hundred rounds through it so far so I don't consider it broken in. Main issue was failing to go into battery, such a light slide. I'm sure after a few thousand shots it'll purr. I've got a TX full size and it is without question the most enjoyable 22 pistol I've ever shot.

I really enjoy 22lr pistols and revolvers, have several Rugers and S&W's, just not a P17 yet. I'll be looking for one now at Rickreal this weekend.
