Living in Washington county OR, I need to find out if the hand/long arms I will be inheriting need to be registered or how do I find out if they are ?

Unless you are inheriting some kind of NFA items or firearms there shouldn't be a problem. There is no requirment to "register" legal firearms in Washington Co. or for that matter anywhere in Oregon. Where are the firearms coming from? Are they currently in Oregon?
