new member temporarily in san diego, but from tacoma

    introducing myself as stated, i am from tacoma, but currently in san diego for a while. own a Sig 1911 and a pieced together AR. i generally dont have much input on most topics, but i try to learn as much as i can from reading all.

    What did you build onto your AR? I built my own from scratch too. All told with optics and attachments was still cheaper than buying a complete AR from a gunshop

    jd machine lower, bushmaster flat top upper with eoteh 517 and a thordson customs stock.

    not bad. I have a New Frontier composite lower, a Mercer Shooting Sports free float quad rail upper, PSA lower build kit with MOE stock and grip. As far as attachments I put a MOE ergonomic grip and Harris bipod under the barrel and a TacTech Goliath 4x with attached backup irons. All told cost me about 700ish
