Good afternoon and thanks for the thorough welcome letter. A quick question first, I just noticed membership seems to be occupants of NW states plus I noticed California where I was born. I don't fit at all with those states being a gun owning & toting Texan. Does this disqualify me? If so, I fully understand. Here's an intro anyway. Avid shooter, pistols, rifles and shotguns, and previously hunted for 55 years or so. Particularly enjoy shotguns, 410, 28, 20 and 12 gauge. Shoot weekly sporting clays, trap and skeet. I have collected all manner of guns for years. I was once an expert pistol shooter but the eyes don't work as well as they once did. I enjoy using forums to ask questions about collected guns I have gathered over many years. I have participated in gun auctions as a buyer/seller plus private person to private person weapon, family member to family member, and ammo sales here in Texas which are legal. We document transfers and record sales/purchases with receipts. I am not a gun/ammunition dealer. As a retired person with time to burn and too much stuff my unwashed heirs will run from, I've particularly begun reducing weapons on hand and unneeded ammunition. I'm hoping more contacts can assist me. Plus conversing with avid shooters and experts is the best way to improve. I am a member of the NRA, highly support the 2nd amendment and compete in shooting events when they fit my older age skill levels.

Welcome!
Although the bulk of our members are located in the PNW, we have members from all over the country and even a few living in other countries. You are welcome here, no worries.

Are you in NW Texas?
NW part of your County?
NW section of the City?
Can you walk over to the NW part of your property or sit in the NW part of your house?
Perhaps you can just glance to the NW for a second?

I believe any of these will qualify you.
Welcome!

Welcome! We living under communist oppression on the left coast love hearing from those living the dream in free states! Texas is high on my list of free places to live when I can finally get out of this woke toilet. Tornadoes sac are the hell out of me though. Been real close to one a couple of times when living in Texas and traveling through Oklahoma decades ago.

You're good brother. I joined a few days ago and I'm a regular on TGT(Texas gun talk). I've noticed northerners have a more sophisticated palette when it comes to guns. Much more appreciation for long range hunting and calibers like my 280 Remington. Your right up the street from me here in Leander. I'm thinking about taking the leap into suppressors and a friend's tax stamp was approved in 24hrs. God bless Texas!

I'm still looking to visit up there soon. I have a friend living in Washougal and I really want to check out Canada someday. Good people here and plenty of civil discussion.

Thanks Texmex247, I too have recently researched suppressors in some detail. We Texans think alike! The process seems easy enough through some of the local businesses. 24 hour turnaround is great to hear. I'd heard the process was running much faster these days. I'd like to hear back from you if you take the leap and share some of how the process worked for you.

Welcome Aboard. Glad you found the forum.

We have members from all parts of the nation as well as a few that are across the pond on an island off of Europe. You are welcome to join in.

Did you know that there is website dedicated to the SW that is affiliated with NWFA? Also, check out:

This is the best place to hang out on the internet.

I know that you're not in the Oregon/ Washington area but we've found the best way to meet the community and learn where and how to use public lands responsibly is through grass roots involvement.

If there isn't a local group that advocates for responsible stewardship of public lands, check out Trash No Land.
