Been on the outside looking in on this site for some time and decided to sign up and join in on the good gun related information provided from all involved. Been getting into the airguns lately due to being able to do some target shooting in my back yard but still enjoy to shoot my powder burners. Hope to pick some knowledge along the way.

Welcome, if you have not checked, make sure its still legal to shoot them in the yard where you live. A surprising number of localities decided to make this a crime a good while ago.

When my kids were still kids we had done it forever and then I found out it was a damn crime here. If some neighbor had decided to call on us PD would have showed up at the door.

Check out the organized clean ups. It's the best way to meet the community and learn where and how to use public lands responsibly.
