Hello to all,
I am a new female member seeking updated info on the training required for baton efficiency. I would like to start jogging, and we live in a more rural area. I not only want to protect myself against "strangers" but also from aggressive dogs. I also attend Portland State University, at night, and there have been more incidents of attacks - I just want to be prepared. I don't think pepper spray is the answer and found some information on extendable batons and thought that might be the deterrent of choice for me. I have no law enforcement back ground, so please if you reply could you not use acronyms (or at least explain what the acronym is) I would appreciate it.
Thank you in advance.
