New HK 293 (Civilian model G36)

Awhile back i ran across this article and forgot to post it. HK is trying to get permission from the German government sell a new rifle in Germany and here in the states, It will be a civilian version G36 under the name of HK293 here in the states and HK243 in Germany.

After watching the ranting and raving about the Tavor Im sure the fellas at HK saw a major opportunity.

Wish they'd just import a CRAP TON of HK93 A3 type stocks and mags so the prices would go down!

It's still just a fast 22 rifle. Why spend a bunch unless it's a 308?

Different bolt and a .223 barrel? I will pass. I would rather put my money towards a company that has a little more respect for America and makes a better product (FN). Also I highly doubt that this HK will be cheaper than the Scar.
