To RPR or not to RPR, that is my question.

I have the option of trading for one of these two:
RPR is unfired and comes with a vortex crossfire and is a gen 3.
Or
A 700 milspec gen 2 in 308 has a muzzle brake, jewel trigger, badger ordinance 20 moa rail.
The it would cost me about another 590 to drop the remington into a chassis with mags to match the rpr. But I'm losing out about 300 dollars on the rpr with my trade and maybe 100 on the remmy.
This will be a lr rig to teach on and shoot when I have time. My budget is limited right now Subject to change. No scope with the remmy and the vortex won't stay on there long. The caliber isn't a huge issue as it seems the furthest I can find to shoot locally is 600 yards. Weight isn't an issue even if I decide to hunt with it. I've humped a 107 around long enough everything hurts as is ( insert crying laugh emoji). Do I lose out on 300 some odd bucks or spend 500 plus to drop the remmy into a chassis?

You can sell the scope to make back some on the Ruger.

I'm not sure why the chassis on the 700 is so important if shooting to 600?

My vote would be the 700.
