If loving Glock is wrong, I don't wanna be right. Traded my G26 in for a 43X. Although still not all that concealable in summer clothes, first time using it, and I was able to shoot this (see attachment). Sure the hostage is deader than a doornail but the captors are also plenty dead.

The only real thing I prefer about the Sig is it's micro size, and facility during this time of year.

It was friggin easy! Point & shoot!

So now a legit comment. Or question actually...

Never had a reason to compare the P365 (assuming that's the Sig you're referring to) and the 43X so I looked them up on handgunhero.

Looks like the Glock is about 3/4" taller (assuming 10 round mag in the Sig) and equally longer than the Sig.

Is that size difference really messing with your concealability? Is the size less of an issue and more the ergonomics? How do you carry?

It's the grip length. While short, the G26, with the double stack, had a bulge that prevented me from wearing it in light clothes. The 43X is obvious to anybody that might expect to find an IWB/appendix situation like I wear it. It's got that corner from the 10rd mag that pokes out. It could be the holster I'm using. I am looking for a better one.

The P365 is perfectly discreet by both measures, but it's tougher to aim, and less fun to shoot.

Wanted to make sure to have an alternative to the P365 in case something breaks on it.

Glocks are soft shooting compared to other guns with the same barrel length. 95% of the people won't be able to tell you're carrying even during the summer. Just be a little more aware of how you move, the colors and patterns of your shirts, use a good gun belt and holster.

Somethings I would suggest if you're concerned about printing....

Quality belt (be ready to spend about $100)
Quality holster (another $100)
Carry the G43X in a G48 Holster
Check out mastermind pillow wedges

Put all those together and your G43X will disappear.

Thanks. I have a milt sparks versa max for the G43 en route, but will keep the G48 idea on hand.

Interesting...
I got my sister a G43x with a Holosun 407.
She loves it.
I very much dislike shooting it.
I will stick with my G26. Have had no complaints with it.

What's the benefit of a G48 holster?

Think of your beltline as a fulcrum. The longer the holster and the more contact to your body (below the beltline) the more the grip is pushed into your body and is not allowed to tip out or "spill" over the belt line causing printing. It the same reason that the deeper you carry the gun the less it prints but with that you loose the ability to get a correct and fast purchase on the grip. The higher the gun rides the more accessible it is and the more it prints. Wedges and pillows also can aid in pushing the grip toward the body and they also help in regards to comfort. I carry a G19 or G45 daily and I carry both in a G17 holster. I also carry with a Surefire X300 light which also helps in printing. The 43X is tiny but I have found for myself and my body type that smaller guns print much more.

I'm 6'1" 215 pounds fit and it hides well. I don't like pocket guns.
Pocket pistols are for lazy people who can claim to carry daily but care more about comfort than effectiveness. I know that a lot of people will disagree with me and I'm good with that. I'm 5'10 and 165 pounds, go to the gym daily and carry a G19, G45 or G17 daily. I prefer to carry something I am confident and proficient with and for me that isn't a micro pistol. If you can run a micro pistol more power to you but the pocket carry as a primary carry method has to be one of the slowest ways to draw a gun. Seconds matter.

I've always hated how big Glocks were in my hand, but recently my husband got a 43X and when I picked it up I got a little envious. I don't mind the square grip nearly so much since it's smaller. I carry a shield plus, but now I'm kinda wanting to try the 43X.
