    This is news to me. Nice sights and G10 grips in 9mm and .45 for around $750. I might just get one..

    Many 1911 nuts have been saying for the last couple years that Colt is currently making the best production 1911s they've ever made.

    Seems like a good time to buy a pony.

    Several on GunBroker at 780.00, seems like a good price. Real question is how tight the slide to frame fit is and the barrel to slide fit.

    I've got a Commander XSE that's incredibly tight... And accurate too...:)

    The Colt Competition is featured in the March 2016 Guns& Ammo magazine.
    Article is by Patrick Sweeney. Sounds pretty good, waiting to get a hands on look at one.
