Wouldn't be able to hunt with it in WA so I'm not sure what the point of a bolt action 5.56 is...

Don't get me wrong I love mine and am a fanatic, but that's in .308.

I think I'd much rather have an AR in 5.56 for the same price.

5.56 in a bolt gun is pretty good varmint medicine. But if we're going to pick nits, there are far better options in the .22 cal range for a bolt gun. I prefer the .220 Swift.
Funny how deer are impervious to the 223 in Washington, but they cross the Columbia and it's game on.

Yea I know, some idiot at some point used a .22lr to try to take an elk and now they limit us to 6mm and up because of it...

    This is what I want:

    rs.jpg

Enfield in 762x39 that takes AK mags.

Or the same thing that takes AR mags.

Sadly, the scout in a 5.56 is an answer looking for a question. Once again Ruger, the hype falls well short of the actual delivery.

I'm pretty sure Special Interest Arms did make an Enfield that took AK mags. Sadly discontinued, but it was done...

I sure like my stainless model 7 Remington in that caliber.. it's not every day you need to machinegun a yote or even a deer (Oregon) and what with a .223.
