Wouldn't be able to hunt with it in WA so I'm not sure what the point of a bolt action 5.56 is...

Don't get me wrong I love mine and am a fanatic, but that's in .308.

I think I'd much rather have an AR in 5.56 for the same price.

5.56 in a bolt gun is pretty good varmint medicine. But if we're going to pick nits, there are far better options in the .22 cal range for a bolt gun. I prefer the .220 Swift.
Funny how deer are impervious to the 223 in Washington, but they cross the Columbia and it's game on.

Yea I know, some idiot at some point used a .22lr to try to take an elk and now they limit us to 6mm and up because of it...

I sure like my stainless model 7 Remington in that caliber.. it's not every day you need to machinegun a yote or even a deer (Oregon) and what with a .223.
