Does anyone know what a NEI Bullet mold (150.284 GC) is worth? Thank You
A little more information would certainly be welcome. Is it: used, unused, meenhanite, aluminum, single cavity, double, handles, etc.?
unless it's a paper patch mold probably not much. Not too many people cast for higher powered rifles like most 7mms due to the limiting 2000ish fps with a gas check.
It is a double cavity aluminum mold with no handles. I do have 1000 gas checks that go with it. It is used but the only way you can tell is that the cavity is a little off color. It is in perfect condition.
I'm not certain they make that mold anymore. I would surmise it was $100+ when made and perhaps a bit more residual value if Walt himself made it - Requiescat in pace Walt.
Lots of molds sold on Ebay (sold many myself) and a good indicator of value seeing what others are paying.
I have the original box with the original El Paso address. That means it was made before 1984.
NEI has a huge fan base and following on the castboolits site. You could put a feeler question for value and get a pretty good estimate from there as well.
Thanks I just put it up for auction on ebay. Thanks for all of the responses. I'll let you know what it sell for.
Thanks again David
